Leading with Design, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Technology for Success (An Executive Programme)

5-day Course

This course seeks to transform businesses by equipping senior executives, managers and professionals with strategic knowledge and practical skills to integrate design, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology into their organisations. Module 1: Synergising Design, AI and Technology

Explore the powerful convergence of design, AI and technology in this module. Gain a strategic understanding of AI and how design can enhance AI through a hands-on workshop.

Uncover strategies for the future of work in the age of AI, including those for job redesign, mastery, innovation, well-being, resilience, and multi-generational workforces.

Module 2: New Value Creations with Design Innovation and AI

Discover and unlock the potential of Al technologies, tools, and data-driven decision-making. Gain exclusive access to innovative, cutting-edge research labs and insights into award-winning AI projects shaping tomorrow’s solutions.

Learn how to leverage design and Al in sectors like additive manufacturing, cybersecurity, healthcare, education, energy systems, robotics and loT.

Module 3: Sustainable AI for Humanity

Delve into the ethical dimensions of Al and its governance, with a focus on human-centred design, inclusivity, and innovation.

This module will guide you through the principles of ethical AI, fostering a responsible approach to balancing AI technology, commercialisation and governance.

Module 4: Design your Strategic Design, AI and Technology Roadmap
Craft your own strategic plan to integrate design, Al and technology into your organisation, guided by SUTD’s design thinking principles.

We will co-create solutions to drive transformative changes and growth through Design, AI and Technology.

Chief Strategy Officer, Strategic Planning
Director of the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities
SUTD

POON King Wang is the Chief Strategy Officer at SUTD, and concurrently the Director of the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities at SUTD, where he also heads the Smart Cities Lab and the Future Digital Economies and Digital Societies initiative. 

King Wang is on the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Strong Cities 2030 Network, the Future of Work working group of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence, and the SkillsFuture Research Advisory Panel . He was also on two national taskforces on the future of adult learning, and on future services in the digital economy.

King Wang’s team's Future of Work research is recognised in Singapore’s National AI Strategy for helping to build a trusted and progressive environment for AI that balances citizens' interests with corporate innovation. His team also collaborated with the Infocomm Media Development Authority’s Personal Data Protection Commission (under the guidance of the Advisory Council of the Ethical Use of AI and Data) to launch A Guide to Job Redesign in the Age of AI, Singapore’s first industry-agnostic guide to help companies manage AI's impact on employees. 

Recently, King Wang received the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2021 for his contributions.

 

Edwin Koh
Senior Lecturer, Associate Programme Head (DAI), Capstone Programme Director
SUTD

Edwin is Associate Head of Programme (Design and Artificial Intelligence) and Capstone Programme Director at SUTD. He serves on the Grand Challenges Scholar Program (GCSP) New Programs Committee, founded by the United States National Academy of Engineering (NAE), and is the founding chair of the International Conference on Advanced Design Research and Education. Edwin has held full-time and visiting positions at the National University of Singapore, New York University, and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). His research focuses on the design of engineering products and appears in journals such as Research in Engineering Design, Journal of Engineering Design, and Design Studies.
 
Edwin received his B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering and S.M. in Manufacturing from the Nanyang Technological University. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as part of his master’s studies and holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Design from the University of Cambridge.
