Singapore Leong Khay Huay Kuan Bursary

The Singapore Leong Khay Huay Kuan Bursary seeks to provide financial assistance to deserving undergraduates at SUTD.

Eligibility

  • Open to Singapore Citizens (SC)
  • Full-time undergraduates in any year of study pursuing any degree programme at SUTD
  • Demonstrated financial need with monthly household Per Capita Income of less than S$1,500

Special consideration will be given to candidates of the Chinese Hokkien dialect group.

Tenure

  • Each Bursary Award is tenable for one year only
  • Recipients may reapply to be considered for the Bursary in their subsequent year of study.

Benefits

  • S$3,000 per annum
  • The Bursary Award is strictly for tuition fees and study-related expenses only.

Repayment

No repayment required. The Bursary must be refunded in part or in full if student withdraws from studies or have his/her studies terminated prematurely.

Established in 1939, the Singapore Leong Khay Huay Kuan (新加坡龙溪会馆) is a more than 200-member clan association with its roots traced to China's Fujian province. The Huay Kuan aims to preserve the Chinese language and culture, and promote education and social welfare, benefitting the Hokkien community in Singapore and the Singapore society at large.
