Sri Gnanananda Giri Peetam - SUTD Bursary Award 

The Sri Gnanananda Giri Peetam - SUTD Bursary Award is established to provide financial assistance to deserving undergraduates pursuing their studies at SUTD.

Eligibility

  • Open to all nationalities
  • Full-time SUTD undergraduate in any year of study and any degree programme
  • Demonstrated financial need with monthly household Per Capita Income of less than S$2,250
  • Demonstrated social work involvement

Tenure

  • Each Bursary Award is tenable for one (1) academic year only
  • Recipients may reapply in his/her subsequent year of studies, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria

Benefits of Award

  • S$4,000 per annum
  • Each bursary award shall be applied towards the payment of the recipient's subsidised tuition fees
  • No bond attached

Things to Note

Bursary recipients must take up the Tuition Fee Grant Subsidy by the Singapore Government.

Founded by a renowned lineage of Hindu Saints in the name of the peerless Saint, His Holiness Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharya Jagathguru Sri Gnanananda Giri Swamigal, and currently headed by His Holiness Sathguru Sri Niranjanananda Giri Swamigal, it is in fact a secular organisation that strives to bring upliftment and relief to all of humanity and the world, through many of its global charity projects. In education, SGGP’s aim is to not only provide guidance in the yogic way of life to improve mental and physical well-being, but to also provide funding and grants to those who wish to pursue an education but are unable to do so due to lack of funding, especially those who care about humanity and the environment and have a track record in and commitment towards, serving society selflessly.
